About the zine

This zine was founded back in May 2025, when I (Dam), decided to trart writing a blog for fun and, some time later, Cadence decided to join the team. Originally, this zine was supposed to be published over on Blogspot, but since that platform was pretty much dead, we decided to head over onto SpaceHey, where this zine is mainly posted to this day. Then, this Neocities was created once one of the issues on SpaceHey got removed, hence the urpose of this website being an archive, even if it's more of a mirror website, to be honest.

The name Duality was picked to represent the difference between me and Cadence: there's probably more things we don't have in common than the ones we do, but I like to think that we're still part of something, together. At the time, I was also pretty much obsessed (maybe im still a little obsessed) with the concept of polar opposites, and the stark difference between black and white, which is where the checkers background comes from.
