Issue #1: The Duality Zine

(Originally posted on Blogspot on May 09, 2025)

This is The Duality Zine.
You're tuning in to a frequency no one bothered to shut off.

☛These are the Authors Behind the Zine

Since this is the first issue, I thought it'd be nice to introduce ourselves as we're the authors of this zine.

- My name is Damiano (shortened to Dam) I am the founder of this zine. I'm an (aspiring) artist and writer, sometimes I write songs too, but I suck at it. (Cadence says I don't, but whatever.) I founded this zine as a challenge for myself, and for getting my voice out there. Personally I don't care if this doesn't get much traction, I just want to have fun.

- Cadence is the co-founder of this zine. She's a singer-songwriter, and a dear friend of mine. I like spelling her name K-Dence. Also, she has a cool pet axolotl. She might write the music sections, or do something completely different. I'm not her boss.

☛ The World is Still on Fire, but Here We Are

- The world is slowly turning into a fascist hellscape. Idolized by ignorants, tariff-obsessed Donald Trump is back and quickly ruining the economy, and Giorgia Meloni supports him unconditionally, like she isn't from the country that pretty much invented fascism.

The Pope died after meeting Vance, and a new one just got elected. In my opinion, he looks nice. He's got that grandpa smile on him.

Rent is still unpayable. Your favourite indie artist is being overshadowed by record labels that are favoring AI. Social media is full of hate, misinformation and artificially generated content.

THIS ISSUE'S POEM:
NOISY PEOPLE
These people are noisy. I don't belong.
It's like I'm trapped in a box and I could sing them a song,
but they won't understand.
I could write them a poem but they won't read it.
These people are noisy. I don't belong.
-Cadence

That's all for today.
